風土記ふどきは、日本にほんの47都道府県とどうふけんを地図ちずから探索たんさくできる学習がくしゅうアプリです。都道府県とどうふけんを選えらぶと、その土地とちがどこにあり、何なんで知しられているか——食べ物たべもの、名所めいしょ、自然しぜん、文化ぶんか、歴史れきし——を読よむことができます。日本語にほんごと英語えいごはヘッダーの切り替きりかえでいつでも行き来いききでき、漢字かんじにはふりがなを表示ひょうじできます。Fudoki is a field guide to Japan's 47 prefectures. Choose one on the map and read where it sits and what it is known for — its food, its places, its landscape, its culture and its history. Japanese and English are one tap apart in the header, with furigana readings above the kanji.

地図ちずのほかに、位置いちを当あてるクイズと、行いったことのある都道府県とどうふけんを記録きろくするマイマップがあります。アカウントは必要ひつようなく、記録きろくはすべて自分じぶんの端末たんまつの中なかに残のこります。Alongside the map there is a quiz that asks you to place each prefecture, and My Map, where you record the ones you have actually been to. There are no accounts — everything you make stays on your own device.

風土記とはWhat a fudoki is

「風土記ふどき」は、713年ねんに朝廷ちょうていが全国ぜんこくの国々くにぐにに命めいじて作つくらせた地誌ちしです。それぞれの国くにについて、産物さんぶつ、土地とちのようす、地名ちめいの由来ゆらい、そして古老ころうが語かたり伝つたえてきた話はなしを書き記かきしるすよう求もとめられました。A fudoki was a provincial gazetteer. In 713 the imperial court ordered every province to compile one, recording its products, the condition of its soil, the origins of its place names, and the old stories its elders still told.

ほぼ完全かんぜんな形かたちで今いまに残のこるのは『出雲いずも国くに風土記ふどき』ひとつだけで、播磨はりま・常陸ひたち・豊後ぶんご・肥前ひぜんのものは断片だんぺんが伝つたわっています。名前なまえそのものが「風かぜ」（その土地とちの気風きふう）と「土つち」（土地とち）を「記しるす」という意味いみです。Only one survives in near-complete form — the Izumo no Kuni Fudoki, finished in 733. Fragments remain of four others: Harima, Hitachi, Bungo and Hizen. The name is literally a record (記) of the wind (風) and the earth (土): the character of a place, and the ground it stands on.

このアプリは、その小ちいさな現代げんだい版ばんです。国くにのかわりに47の都道府県とどうふけんについて、その土地とちが何なんで知しられているかを記しるしています。This app is a small modern one. In place of the old provinces it takes the 47 prefectures, and records what each place is known for.

  • クイズQuiz

    47都道府県とどうふけんすべての位置いちを、ラベルのない地図ちずから当あてるクイズです。A location quiz across all 47 prefectures. You are shown one prefecture's name in kanji and have to find it on an unlabelled map. Each has up to three attempts and is scored by how many you needed, so the final percentage reflects how well you actually know the country's shape — not how long you were willing to guess.

  • マイマップMy Map

    行いったことのある都道府県とどうふけんを記録きろくして、自分じぶんだけの日本にほん地図ちずを作つくります。Colour in the prefectures you have been to and build your own map of Japan. Each one is recorded at one of four depths — passed through, visited, stayed overnight, or lived in — because an overnight stay is a different thing from a day trip. The finished map saves as a single image you can share. It is anonymous and stored only on your device.

日本語と英語Japanese and English

日本語にほんごと英語えいごは二ふたつのモードで、同時どうじに並ならぶことはありません。日本語にほんごを読よんでいる間ま、英語えいごが目めの端はしに入はいることがないということです。切り替きりかえはヘッダーのボタン一ひとつ。漢字かんじにはふりがなを表示ひょうじできます。Japanese and English are two modes, not two columns — you see one at a time, so the translation is never sitting in the corner of your eye while you are working through the Japanese. Switching either way is one tap in the header, which is the point: read a paragraph, check yourself against the English, come back. Furigana readings sit above the kanji, always on a phone and on hover on a desktop. The reading level is aimed at roughly JLPT N3–N2.
