大分おおいた県けんは九州きゅうしゅうの北東ほくとう部ぶに位置いちする県けんです。温泉おんせんの湧き出わきでる量りょうと源泉げんせんの数かずがともに日本一にほんいちを誇ほこる「おんせん県けん」として知しられています。別府べっぷの「地獄じごくめぐり」や、おしゃれな湯布院ゆふいんが特とくに人気にんきです。とり天てんや、関せきあじ・関せきさばなどの新鮮しんせんな海うみの幸さちも名物めいぶつとなっています。

Beppu boasts Japan's largest volume of hot-spring water. Its famous "hell tour" takes visitors around vents where scalding water and steam gush from the earth, letting them see mysterious springs in vivid colors like blue and red.

大分おおいた県けんのご当地とうちグルメ「とり天てん」は、下味したあじをつけた鶏肉けいにくに衣ころもをつけて揚あげた、からりと軽かるい料理りょうりです。また、豊予海峡ほうよかいきょうで獲えれる高級こうきゅう魚ぎょ「関せきあじ・関せきさば」は、身みの締しまった上質じょうしつな味あじわいで全国ぜんこく的てきに知しられています。
Oita's local specialty "toriten" is lightly seasoned chicken coated in batter and deep-fried until crisp and light. Its premium "Seki" horse mackerel and mackerel, caught in the Hoyo Strait, are also known nationwide for their firm, high-quality flesh.
