偕楽園Kairakuen Garden

茨城いばらき県けんは関東かんとう地方ちほうの北東ほくとう部ぶに位置いちする県けんです。水戸みとの納豆なっとうやメロンなど農産物のうさんぶつが豊富ほうふで、メロンの生産せいさん量りょうは日本一にほんいちを誇ほこります。日本にほん三さん名園めいえんの一ひとつ「偕楽園かいらくえん」は梅うめの名所めいしょとして知しられ、つくば市しは最先端さいせんたんの研究けんきゅう機関きかんが集あつまる学園がくえん都市としとして発展はってんしています。

Ibaraki lies in the northeast of the Kanto region. Rich in produce such as Mito natto and melons, it is Japan's top melon producer. Kairakuen, one of Japan's "three great gardens," is famed for its plum blossoms, and the city of Tsukuba has grown as an academic town where cutting-edge research institutes gather.

The city of Mito is famous nationwide as a home of natto. Made from fermented soybeans, natto has a distinctive stickiness and aroma, and served over rice it is one of Japan's classic breakfast foods.

水戸みとの偕楽園らくえんは、金沢かなざわの兼けん六ろく園えんなどと並ならぶ「日本にほん三さん名園めいえん」の一ひとつです。約やく百ひゃく種しゅ三さん千せん本ほんの梅うめが植うえられ、早春そうしゅんには園内えんないが梅うめの花はなで彩いろどられ、多おおくの花見はなみ客きゃくでにぎわいます。
Kairakuen in Mito is one of Japan's "three great gardens," alongside Kenrokuen in Kanazawa. Planted with some 3,000 plum trees of around 100 varieties, it fills with blossoms in early spring and draws many flower viewers.
