富山とやま県けんは本州ほんしゅうの日本海にほんかい側がわに位置いちし、雄大ゆうだいな立山たてやま連峰れんぽうに接せっする県けんです。標高ひょうこう三さん千ぜんメートル級きゅうの山々やまやまと富山とやま湾わんに囲かこまれ、自然しぜんが豊ゆたかです。富山湾とやまわんで獲えれるホタルイカや白しろえびが名物めいぶつで、古ふるくから続つづく「富山とやまの薬くすり売うり」でも知しられています。

Toyama sits on the Sea of Japan side of Honshu, backed by the majestic Tateyama mountains. Ringed by 3,000-meter peaks and Toyama Bay, it is rich in nature. Firefly squid and white shrimp caught in the bay are specialties, and the prefecture is known for its long tradition of the "Toyama medicine peddlers."

富山とやま県けんには、雄大ゆうだいな立山たてやま連峰れんぽうを貫つらぬく山岳さんがく観光かんこう路ろ「立山たてやま黒部くろべアルペンルート」があります。春はるには高たかさ二に十じゅうメートルにもなる「雪ゆきの大谷おおたに」の雪ゆき壁かべが現あらわれ、迫力はくりょくある景色けしきを求もとめて多おおくの人ひとが訪おとずれます。
Toyama's Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is a mountain sightseeing corridor cutting through the grand Tateyama range. In spring, the "Snow Corridor" walls tower up to 20 meters high, drawing crowds in search of the dramatic scenery.

富山湾とやまわんは「天然てんねんのいけす」とも呼よばれる豊ゆたかな漁場ぎょじょうです。春はるに旬しゅんを迎むかえるホタルイカや、甘あまみのある白しろえびが名物めいぶつで、酢す飯めしに魚さかなをのせた「ます寿司すし」も人気にんきの郷土きょうど料理りょうりです。
Toyama Bay, sometimes called a "natural fish tank," is a bountiful fishing ground. Spring-season firefly squid and sweet white shrimp are specialties, and "masu-zushi," trout pressed onto vinegared rice, is a popular local dish.

富山とやま県けんは「富山とやまの薬くすり売うり」で知しられる、置おき薬やくの伝統でんとうがある地域ちいきです。各かく家庭かていに薬くすり箱ばこを預あづけ、使つかった分ぶんだけ後あとで代金だいきんを受け取うけとる独特どくとくの商あきないが江戸えど時代じだいから続つづき、今いまも製薬せいやく業ぎょうが盛さかんです。
Toyama is known for its "medicine sellers" and a tradition of placement medicine. In a distinctive practice dating to the Edo period, sellers leave a medicine box in each home and collect payment only for what is used—and pharmaceuticals still thrive here.

黒部ダムくろべだむは、険けわしい山やまあいに造つくられた日本にほん最大さいだい級きゅうのアーチ式しきダムです。豪快ごうかいに水みずを放出ほうしゅつする夏なつから秋あきの「観光かんこう放水ほうすい」は迫力はくりょくがあり、雄大ゆうだいな自然しぜんの中なかにそびえる建造けんぞう物ぶつとして人々ひとびとを魅了みりょうします。
Kurobe Dam is one of Japan's largest arch dams, built deep in rugged mountains. Its powerful summer-to-autumn "tourist water release" is a spectacle, and the structure amid grand nature captivates visitors.
