群馬ぐんま県けんは関東かんとう地方ちほうの北西ほくせい部ぶに位置いちする内陸ないりく県けんです。草津くさつや伊香保いかほなど全国ぜんこく的てきに有名ゆうめいな温泉おんせんが多おおく、「温泉おんせん県けん」として知しられています。世界せかい遺産いさんの富岡とみおか製糸せいし場じょうは日本にほんの近代きんだい化かを支ささえました。こんにゃくの生産せいさん量りょうは日本一にほんいちで、高崎たかさきのだるまも有名ゆうめいです。

Gunma is an inland prefecture in the northwest of Kanto. With many nationally famous hot springs such as Kusatsu and Ikaho, it is known as an "onsen prefecture." The World Heritage Tomioka Silk Mill helped drive Japan's modernization. Gunma is also Japan's top producer of konjac and is famous for Takasaki's daruma dolls.

Gunma is known for its many fine hot springs; Kusatsu in particular boasts Japan's largest natural flow of spring water. Distinctive resorts such as Ikaho, with its famous stone stairway, are scattered throughout the prefecture.

歴史History
富岡とみおか製糸せいし場じょうは、明治めいじ時代じだいに建たてられた日本にほん初はつの本格ほんかく的てきな官営かんえいの製糸せいし工場こうじょうです。生糸きいとの大量たいりょう生産せいさんで日本にほんの近代きんだい化かを支ささえた産業さんぎょう遺産いさんとして、世界せかい遺産いさんに登録とうろくされています。
The Tomioka Silk Mill was Japan's first full-scale government-run silk-reeling factory, built in the Meiji era. As an industrial heritage site that drove modernization through mass silk production, it is inscribed as World Heritage.

群馬ぐんま県けんはこんにゃくの原料げんりょうとなるこんにゃく芋いもの生産せいさん量りょうが日本一にほんいちです。低ていカロリーで食物しょくもつ繊維せんいが豊富ほうふなこんにゃくは、煮物にものやおでん、鍋なべなど、和食わしょくに欠かかせない食材しょくざいです。
Gunma is Japan's leading grower of the konjac potato used to make konjac. Low in calories and rich in fiber, konjac is an essential ingredient in Japanese cooking, appearing in simmered dishes, oden, and hot pots.

高崎たかさき市しはだるまの生産せいさん地ちとして有名ゆうめいで、願ねがいを込こめて片目かためを入いれる縁起物えんぎものとして親したしまれています。県民けんみんには郷土きょうどの歴史れきしや文化ぶんかを学まなぶ「上うえ毛けかるた」が広ひろく知しられています。
The city of Takasaki is famous for daruma dolls, cherished as good-luck charms whose eyes are painted in when making a wish. Locals also widely know "Jomo Karuta," a card game for learning the region's history and culture.
