山梨やまなし県けんは本州ほんしゅうの内陸ないりくに位置いちし、富士山ふじさんの北側きたがわに広ひろがる県けんです。世界せかい遺産いさんの富士山ふじさんや富士ふじ五ご湖この美うつくしい景色けしきが人気にんきです。日照にっしょう時間じかんが長ながく、ぶどうや桃ももの生産せいさんが盛さかんで、勝沼かつぬまを中心ちゅうしんにワインづくりも行おこなわれています。郷土きょうど料理りょうりのほうとうも親したしまれています。

Yamanashi is an inland prefecture spreading north of Mt. Fuji. The World Heritage Fuji and the scenery of the Fuji Five Lakes are popular. With long hours of sunshine, it thrives on grape and peach growing, and winemaking is centered on Katsunuma. The local hot-pot noodle dish "hoto" is also cherished.

山梨やまなし県けんは、日本にほんの象徴しょうちょうである富士山ふじさんを代表だいひょうする県けんの一ひとつです。北側きたがわのふもとには河口湖かわぐちこなど「富士ふじ五ご湖こ」が広ひろがり、湖面こめんに映うつる「逆さかさ富士ふじ」の絶景ぜっけいを求もとめて、国内外こくないがいから多おおくの観光かんこう客きゃくが訪おとずれます。
Yamanashi is one of the prefectures most associated with Mt. Fuji, symbol of Japan. At its northern foot spread the Fuji Five Lakes, including Lake Kawaguchi, and visitors come from home and abroad to see the "upside-down Fuji" mirrored on the water.

山梨やまなし県けんはぶどうの生産せいさん量りょうが日本一にほんいちで、果物くだものづくりが盛さかんです。特とくに勝沼かつぬま地域ちいきは日本にほんのワイン発祥はっしょうの地ちとされ、県けん産さんのぶどうから造つくられる「甲州こうしゅうワイン」が国内外こくないがいで高たかく評価ひょうかされています。
Yamanashi is Japan's top grape producer, with thriving fruit cultivation. The Katsunuma area is regarded as the birthplace of Japanese wine, and "Koshu wine" made from local grapes is highly praised in Japan and abroad.

山梨やまなし県けん（かつての甲斐かい国こく）は、戦国せんごく時代じだいの名将めいしょう・武田たけだ信玄しんげんが治おさめた地ちです。「風林火山ふうりんかざん」の旗はたで知しられる信玄しんげんは今いまも郷土きょうどの英雄えいゆうとして慕したわれ、ゆかりの神社じんじゃや祭まつりが大切たいせつに受け継うけつがれています。
Yamanashi, the old province of Kai, was ruled by the renowned Sengoku general Takeda Shingen. Famous for his "Fu-Rin-Ka-Zan" banner, Shingen is still revered as a local hero, and shrines and festivals tied to him are carefully preserved.

「ほうとう」は、幅広はばひろの麺めんをかぼちゃなどの野菜やさいとともに味噌みそで煮込にこんだ山梨やまなしの郷土きょうど料理りょうりです。体からだが温あたたまる素朴そぼくな味あじわいで、かつて武田たけだ信玄しんげんも陣中じんちゅう食しょくにしたと伝つたえられています。
"Hoto" is a Yamanashi local dish of wide, flat noodles simmered in miso broth with vegetables such as pumpkin. Hearty and rustic, it is said to have been eaten by Takeda Shingen's troops on campaign.
